How We Got Here
Like many modern love stories, ours began with a swipe.
In 2023 while in Amsterdam, Bernd spotted Valeria's profile on Inner Circle. Her smile, her adventurous spirit, and most importantly, the fact that she proudly declared herself a Formula 1 fan, caught his attention. Finally, someone who understood that race weekends are sacred.
Bernd sent the first message... and waited.
And waited.
And waited a little more.
A week later, Valeria finally replied (she likes to say she was building anticipation). Luckily, Bernd didn't give up, and that one message turned into countless dates, and lasting memories.
What followed quickly turned into a blossoming relationship: a Latina hurricane combined with Dutch rationality—a recipe for love.
The first six months were full of adventure. From Carnaval in the south of the Netherlands to hiking the trails of Machu Picchu. In Peru is where Bernd found his inner latino, fell in love with the country, the landscapes, the people, and most importantly, the food. Peru soon became one of the most special places in our story.
Then came a big change. Vale decided she wanted to be a little closer to Swiss cheese fondue and moved to Switzerland. Instead of ending our adventure, it simply changed its format.
For the next two years, we perfected the art of long-distance love. We became frequent flyers, experts at airport reunions, and masters of finding excuses to meet somewhere new.
After countless flights, weekend visits, and miles traveled, we returned to one of our favorite places: Peru. That December 2025 is when Bernd got down on one knee and asked Valeria to spend the rest of her life with him.
This time, she didn't wait a week to answer.
She said yes.
And now, we're excited to reduce our carbon footprint and begin our greatest adventure yet—together.
